Patchwork Prism | 70"x76" |
This quilt was made using the Patchwork Prism pattern by Anna Maria Horner. The Patchwork Prism is special to me for so many reasons! I started this quilt in May 2012, at the very beginning of my quilting journey. What is easy for me now, was definitely a challenge then! It was definitely a big learning experience for me. It also represents one of my favorite things about quilting; being surrounded by beautiful, rich colors all the time! Lastly, I love how I can look back on this quilt as a kind of history. Each scrap tells a story. I can point to any one of the triangles and remember a past project.
Even though I am entering this one into the ROYGBIV category, my absolute favorite part of this quilt is the black and white backing! It took me a while to figure out how to translate my vision for the back into fabric, but it was well worth the time.
You can read more about my process during his quilt at this link.

Fabulous quilt, and yes, the back could be an independent quilt on it's own! Job well done!
Gorgeous work - love the sense of scale!
I have this quilt on my list. Your version is lovely!
