I´ve been planning to sew some little projects for giveaway to friends and family.
This month I am making a few swap blocks, but other than that I am really hoping to get my sewing room better organized. It's hard to sew when you can't find anything!

I started a king size quilt about a year and a half ago, now I am going to make a bed runner instead. A much more manageable size!

I have lots planned for the month. First, I plan to make a wallhanging for my son and his wife using a moda bake shop recipe called "Dark Side Layer Cake". Then, I want to make a bed quilt for myself using another moda bake shop recipe called "mod circles baby quilt". I am off to a quilting retreat with 13 friends this weekend. Will be working on a quilt called Sessom, by Carolyn Friedlander and a hand applique quilt as well as teaching foundation paper piecing using the freezer paper method. Next weekend I am off to CQA our national quilt show in Canada.

I've got two quilts on the go - a lap quilt from a Flirt layer cake, another lap quilt from a Quilt Blocks jelly roll - and I have a bundle of Michael Miller Ahoy Matey here I'm about to start cutting into to make a single bed quilt for my second son.
I'm hoping to make a new spring dress for my daughter. She has a RTW one that I'm going to use as a base.
