I really love it with the black! Good luck!
I too would choose the black. The fabrics have a lot of light backgrounds already and you wouldn't want them to get lost in the background. This sounds like a fun link-up, I'll consider participating too, if I don't forget to!
Love your list(s). Just creating mine and feel sick at the amount! BUt willlink up and hope for the best! Oh and I would go with teh darker one for your quilt!! Yum.
That's a lot of quilts to make! I'm chiming in with the ladies above - I think the black will make the prints pop more.
I like the flax! Good luck with your lists, sounds like you will be busy in the next 100 days :)
I vote flax - it just seems to match the tone of your prints.
ooo heading over to sign up. I need this push! I am going to vote for the black. I think it will give your more contrast than the flax. I really think it's apples to oranges, though. Either is going to be beautiful!
I would go with the flax, I think it would offset the colors nicely. Your list looks pretty good!
SO hard to choose between those two colors, but I'm leaning toward the...hmm...alright, now I'm not sure again...
I'm going to say black, but honestly I like the flax just as much!
I would choose the black - it makes the colors pop more! cant wait to see more!
Ooh I need to make a list like this! Great idea!
Oh and as for the fabric choice - I vote the black! It just seems to make the colours pop a bit more!
Love the flax! I might have to make my list just to kick my butt into gear ;-)
I really love it with the black :)
Looking at the comments, it seems we're not really helping you narrow it down at all. :) Personally, I like the black. A lot of the fabrics read sort of light to me anyway, so I'd go with the contrast. And this is being totally gender stereotype-y, but for some reason the black feels a little more masculine to me than the flax (though the flax is obviously not girly or anything!)
It's so nice you're making a quilt for your brother! My brother is on my list someday, but not the 2012 list. :P
Good luck on your list! Since the quilt's for a guy, I'd go for the black.
Thank you for joining in!! I like both so I'm not going to vote - helpful right?! Can't wait to see your projects - the polaroid quilt sounds interesting :)
I like the black! Good luck with your list!
I like how you have stockings on your list too. I vote for the black. Good luck with your list.
That's quite a list, but so much more well thought out than mine!
